Chicago Engagement Photos on Lake Michigan
Laura + Pradeep are getting married! Pradeep was actually a groomsman in my own wedding…just over a year ago…and we are so excited for his big day this September! Unfortunately, I won’t be allowed to be their wedding photographer…as I am standing as a groomsman…but I really enjoyed the opportunity to photograph their engagement session! We started on Lake Michigan…where Laura + Pradeep have spent a good amount of time together. And it helps to have a KILLER view of the Chicago skyline!
For those not from Chicago…there are not a lot of beaches in Chicago. Lake Michigan is met with a large cement ‘sidewalk’ where people jog, bike + stroll.
I couldn’t resist a photo of their shadow- and I love the little details…like the way they hold their hands! =)
Laura was all smiles for their engagement session!

We stopped briefly with these pink neon lights-
The Cancer Survivors Garden in Millennium Park had a bed of yellow daffodils blooming!
Another engagement photo taking advantage of the yellow color…and it goes so well with Laura’s blue dress!

Pradeep knew about these cool architectural lines that I would like…and of course I wanted to photograph them there! I waited til this random pedestrian was walking in ‘just’ the right spot to perfectly balance out the photo!
Another cool staircase…I love the tree juxtaposed with concrete architecture.
