An Illinois Wedding
Thank you to my past client Nicole + Shawn for referring me to Maryann + Michael! I had a great time getting to know M+M during their engagement session! Though everyone told me how Michael is not a photogenic person…I was thankful to have connected with them both and he was so easy to work with! Lots of natural smiles! If you haven’t already, be sure to check out their beautiful Chicago engagement session!
One of my favorite photos from their wedding day! This photo was taken in Millennium Park, Illinois! Special thanks to my second photographer Tom and to Linda, their fabulous wedding planner from from Liven It Up Events!
Getting Ready in NW Illinois
Before heading into Chicago for their wedding ceremony, Maryann + Michael were getting ready in a more peaceful part of Illinois. I searched their home until I found a cool place for their wedding ring photo! This was also Maryann’s something blue!

Getting ready!
Over at the groom’s parent’s house…Michael was getting help from his Dad –
How guys get ready-
The groom looking good!
I was told over and over how Michael doesn’t smile for photos- I always smile when I think how Michael looks so ‘natural’ in his wedding photos!
Getting into her wedding dress!
So much emotion in this photo…the bride’s matron of honor…so much said in her eyes-
A photo of Maryann w/her mom…they were both holding back the emotions-
A portrait of the beautiful bride!
What a smile!

I love my job as a wedding photographer, I get to see moments like this! =)
Michael made EVERYONE crack up during his vows by a small ‘minor’ flub =)

Leaving St Benedict’s as newlyweds!
We headed to a local pool hall for some fun wedding photos! The green on the pool tables compliments their wedding colors!
Look at their smiles! =)
The ladies all making their ‘Maryann’ face!

A great photo by my second photographer Tom!
Since we were at a pool hall, I thought to get creative with their wedding ring photo! Their wedding date on a pool table!
We drove down to Millennium Park for some fun creative wedding photos! You gotta love the Chicago skyline in the background!
A bridesmaid photo!
Groomsmen pictures!
The groom stealing a kiss in the Millennium Park gardens! There are a lot of native Illinois flowers and prairie plants featured in the gardens.
Enjoying a laugh together!
Maryann loves staircases, so we stopped by the Chicago Cultural Center for a few wedding photos! One of the few places in Illinois where you can go inside for free!
I love they symmetry of this wedding picture! The detail in the Chicago Cultural Center is unparalleled!
We had some wind blowing by…so we took this photo of the bride with her veil in front of the Chicago Cultural Center
We headed out to the NW suburbs for their wedding reception! A picture of their wedding cake.
A great job by Linda from Liven It Up Events for putting this all together!

Thanks to Maryann + Michael for having me as your wedding photographer! Though you may not take good photos with other cameras, thank you for opening up yourselves to me in front of my lens! I’m glad we were able to connect in such a way as to allow you to be yourselves! I hope these wedding photos captured your love and the love you have for your families and friends!
with love,
your Illinois wedding photographer,
Kenny
