Chicago Neighborhoods!
There is just too much to love about Hye Jin + Jon’s wedding! This is part 1! Getting ready at the Public Hotel in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood and a fun stop in Fulton Market in the West Loop neighborhood! Thank you to last year’s clients Caroline + Jiwoo for referring me to Hye Jin + Jon!
Before we get into too much detail…here’s one of my favorites from their wedding – in an alley in the West Loop! I love the clean and modern feel to this photograph. And the beauty juxtaposed with the urban, industrial + gritty feel of the Fulton Market alley-
Public Hotels Chicago – Getting Ready
I walked into the bridal suite in the Public Chicago Hotel and was surprised to find the wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses all ready to be photographed! Complete with shoes! I love the yellow and white!
I got a little creative with her Jimmy Choo shoes and their wedding rings/bands. I tried to be creative so you can read the Jimmy Choo label in the picture!
Hair and Makeup was done by a talented team from Sonia Roselli – one Chicago’s best MUA + Hair salons!
The bridesmaids in their matching silk robes – sharing a laugh together =) They were such a fun group to be around!
I love this photo of the bride’s maid of honor helping with her wedding dress-
Finishing touches on the dress and lips!
A full dress photo of Hye Jin – I love the large modern space of the Public Hotel Chicago- it perfectly matches Hye Jin’s vibe!
I LOVE this photo of Hye Jin in front of the Public Hotel windows. Perfectly complimented by her gorgeous Vale of Enna wedding bouquet. White peonies, garden roses and ranunculus!
Sonia Roselli’s team did a fabulous job with her makeup-
One more photo with Hye Jin having fun with her veil =)
The ladies are all ready to go!
Jon was upstairs getting ready with the guys. Thanks to Tom for second shooting and capturing these great portraits of the groom!
I love the how clean, simple and authentic this portrait is-
Public Hotel Roof Top Terrace
We headed to the roof top terrace on the 17th floor of the Public Hotel. What an amazing view of the Chicago skyline! The Gold Coast has a great view of the John Hancock! Not to mention that the bride and groom have a great skyline wedding day photo without having to go to the lakefront!
Another roof top terrace photo
Groomsmen photo with the Chicago skyline in the background-
Full bridal party photo. I love the blue sky, the yellow dresses and the accents of green on the Public Hotel rooftop terrance!
We headed back inside for a few more photos of the bride and groom! As a wedding photographer…when I find modern spaces with clean lines and lots of space…I can’t resist taking photos!
Stunning!
One more photo!
Exiting the Chicago Public Hotel!
Fulton Market – West Loop Chicago
Since it was a little sunny, I found some shade for these bridal party wedding photos in Chicago’s Fulton Market in the West Loop.
Groomsmen photo-
And a photo with the bride and groom! They can’t wait til their ceremony! =)
And one last STUNNING photo of Hye Jin + Jon. I love the urban industrial vibe of the west loop and they look amazing!
Stay tuned for part 2 of their wedding day photos! Hye Jin + Jon: Welcome back from Hawaii! I hope these photos bring you back a couple weeks to your wedding day! I can’t wait to show you more!
