As many of you may know…I am recently engaged myself! And as my fiance and I think about our wedding day we are considering having the wedding ceremony and reception at the same venue. Susanne and Sunil utilized the various Chicago Drake Hotel amenities to have everything take place inside! It helps make the day more enjoyable for all!
Susanne has spent so much time in Chicago and she wanted to take advantage of all that Chicago has to offer for her wedding! And I was privileged to be her wedding photographer. She chose the iconic Chicago Drake Hotel. The movie was mentioned in the movie “Mission Impossible” and can be seen by all Chicagoans as they drive south on Lake Shore Drive.

The wedding started with Susanne surrounded by her girlfriends in an executive Drake suite. The bride’s wedding dress and her Vera Wang Lavender shoes.
A fun moment between the groom and his best man-
A great picture of handsome groom
Susanne’s mom came in the room and was moved to tears at the sight of her daughter…the beautiful bride. One of my favorite moments from the day-
A stunning portrait!
Love this photo-
The Drake Hotel is located on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile: Michigan Avenue
Susanne had worked at the Harold Washington Library – so we made sure to stop by for some photos! I love their smiles in this picture!
We got a little creative with this next photograph…I wanted to incorporate the architecture of the library into the picture.
I love Sunil’s smile!
The beautiful wedding couple!
Love this moment between these two!
And yes…the groom couldn’t keep from kissing his bride! =)

A memorable walk down the aisle
The same room at the Drake where the ceremony was held; now flipped for the wedding reception! Wedding coordinator, Bambi Caicedo Rogers, did a great job making sure everything was done properly!
I pulled Susanne and Sunil off the floor for this external shot of the Drake – showcasing the red illuminated “The Drake” signage!
For their first dance…all her friends gathered around the dance floor to cheer and support- I walked behind them for this photo!
And to finish a fabulous wedding day, the bride and groom rode off into the night on a horse and carriage! A fitting end to this Chicago wedding!
Susanne + Sunil: Thank you for having me as your wedding photographer! I loved all the ways you made this Chicago wedding your own! May these photos bring you back to Chicago as you are in Singapore reminiscing of your wedding day!
with love,
Kenny
