Had the opportunity to meet Kendall and Ryan while I photographing her sister’s wedding a few years ago and I was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer!

We started with a few Kinzie Bridge engagement photos. This iconic bridge has some strong geometric shapes and I love how it layers in the some Chicago architecture in the background!

Japanese Garden Engagement Photos

For their last location…Kendall and Ryan chose one of Chicago’s hidden gems…The Garden of the Phoenix! Here’s a hint…don’t necessarily follow google maps for directions. It took us a little extra effort to get here…but it was worth it!

I’ve been coming to this location periodically throughout my career…and kudos to The Garden of the Phoenix Foundation…the garden is the best it has ever looked!

These Japanese garden engagement photos almost make you forget you are in Chicago!

At the end of the session we were treated to the most spectacular sunset!
