Tena & Joseph will be married in India later this year. And while I won’t be their wedding photographer, I am thankful to be their engagement photographer! I get most of my work through word of mouth and referrals, and this was the case with this engagement photoshoot. Tena was a bridesmaid in Jinu & Ambily’s wedding back in 2009, and she sought me out when it was her turn to have her photos taken!
I am thankful for the Indian community in Chicago. They are a faithful supporter of Nakai Photography. If you are perusing this blog post and have never reached out…please leave a comment or send a message! I appreciate your support and I would love to know who you are! My Indian friends joke around that I know more Indian people in Chicago than they do! =) And to this…I may have to agree. =) So I would like to say THANK YOU to the Chicago Indian community for referring my name around!
But alas…onto Tena & Joseph’s engagement photos! I had a great time getting to know these two and hearing their story. And while they have been together for awhile now, they have maintained a long distance relationship the whole way through. Since they spend so little time with each other in the same state, I felt it my duty to make sure these guys had a GREAT time during their photo shoot!
I love their smiles- you’ll see lots of it during the engagement session-
What a great portrait of these two!
Being a little creative with the surroundings-
Same place…but this photo has such a different feel than the previous photo
What a moment- real smiles all around. I love being able to put my clients at ease so they can be themselves!
A beautiful picture.
And in case you didn’t know…Joseph is just a bit taller than Tena…so we had some fun with this next photo! It was SOOOO funny!
Being creative with the sunlight-
Stealing a moment in an alley
Congrats to Tena & Joseph! Thanks again for having me as your engagement photographer! If only I was traveling with you to India! *I wish!* =) And if you are in the Indian community and like what you see here, feel free to search through my blog to see other examples of weddings I have photographed! As I mentioned, I am so appreciative of the Chicago Indian community as they have continually passed my name around to others when they are looking for a wedding photographer. A big THANK YOU!
with love,
Kenny Nakai
