I heart Chicago food. There I said it. So much…that I’m tempted to write a few blog posts on my favorite places! And as a Chicago wedding photographer I get to combine my two loves, food + photography together! I’m excited to share Susan + Dennis’ engagement photos with you at two Chicago hotspots!

We started the day in the River North neighborhood at the iconic Chicago Doughnut Vault. Their doughnuts are soooo good! AND we appreciated their pretty signage! In case you didn’t know…Doughnut Vault doughnuts are a way to Susan’s heart. =)

I know this is an engagement photography blog post…but these doughnuts deserve their own photo!

Susan majored in Art…and she collects cool ampersands. So she picked one that goes perfect with the blue paint of the Doughnut Vault!

After some good eats at the Doughtnut Vault, we headed to the West Loop to take some photos of the City Winery Chicago! Their decor is really unique!

The City Winery has all these wine barrels throughout..and some huge windows for great engagement photos!

Yes…the City Winery has a whole bunch of wine bottles…makes for a cool pattern on the wall

PS. I love doughnuts. BOTH Doughnut Vault + Glazed and Infused are favorites of mine. =) But I shouldn’t consume them on a regular basis…only special occasions…….thankfully there are a lot of special occasions!
