One of My Best Engagement Sessions?

Every now and there is perfect storm of events for this Chicago engagement photographer. The couple that loves taking photos, PERFECT weather & a new spot for photos all came together for Maggie + Phil’s session! And a shout out to Dayna + Todd for referring me to this wonderful couple! Most of my business comes from previous clients, thank you to everyone out there for telling others about Nakai Photography!

Ever since the Chicago Riverwalk opened up a couple months ago, I couldn’t wait to take photos there! As an engagement photographer, I’m always looking for new spot for photos! Here’s one of the best photos of the night- I love the Chicago River and the architecture in the background! It’s so romantic!

Earlier in the day we took photos with the Chicago skyline in the background- They are having their wedding at the Drake hotel, which you can see in their photo! We started their engagement session near some railroad tracks! I love the story feel of this picture!

We took so many amazing photos at this one spot alone! It was so hard to pick out the best ones!

Maggie wanted to have some sun flare in her photos – and I was happy to oblige! I always love including sun-flare in my engagement pictures!

Since they lived nearby, we headed out on their balcony to take a couple photos after their outfit change!

I love how they both make each other smile!

We wanted to grab a few photos with the skyline as the sun was beginning to set!

I love the Chicago skyline at night! It’s such a different feel!

Such a romantic evening for an engagement session in Chicago!
