Destination: Bangkok Thailand
Nina and Phil hosted an amazing time in Thailand last month! Friends and family flew out to celebrate their wedding ceremony in BOTH Bangkok, and then in the southern islands! Railay, near Krabi! But you’ll have to stay tuned for those amazing wedding photos! For now…let’s just start off with their engagement photo shoot held in Bangkok!
A Destination Engagement Photo Session!
One thing I love about being a wedding photographer, is the ability to travel! And I have traveled for weddings all over the world! Since we were in Bangkok for their destination wedding, we thought to have a destination engagement photo session as well! It was a good opportunity to get out and capture the bustling city that is Bangkok!
And a shout out to Milo – who basically recommended great spots to shoot in Bangkok! It’s such a large and picturesque city…it’s good to have a local to help guide the way. =) Thanks Milo!

We started our photo shoot near a mall in Bangkok. If you’ve never been to Bangkok before, there are sooooo many gigantic malls…and they are all RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO EACH OTHER! Shopping galore!

A cool photo right next to Siam Square- This alley way was under construction…and it made for a cool photo-
As with any destination wedding or engagement photography I shoot, I always want to incorporate various elements from that location. One thing iconic about Bangkok? The BTS Skytrain (Bangkok Mass Transit System)! So we grabbed this photo on the BTS Skytrain platform at Siam station.
Again, the double decker elevated BTS Skytrain in the background – we are definitely in downtown Bangkok!
This what the BTS skytrain tracks look like while sitting in traffic. And remember this is an engagement photoshoot…so if you look at the couple right above the cars…that would be Nina and Phil! (almost like a Where’s Waldo book)
