This is it…Smita + Tushar’s final blog post from their big Chicago Indian wedding extravaganza! When you walked into their wedding reception at Morgan Manufacturing…you had to pause and catch your breath! It was unreal! Photographer’s Tip: Finding the light! I placed Smita in the direct sunlight to help her stand out from the background- What a stunning full length portrait!

We had to take a few pictures in the lobby before heading out to Morgan MFG-

Morgan Manufacturing is a gorgeous wedding venue in the West Loop of Chicago. It has a rooftop with a gorgeous view of the Chicago Skyline!

The setting sun is perfect on the rooftop of Morgan MFG! It almost feels like California!

Just look at these design pieces suspended from the ceiling! Photographer’s Tip: Include the architectural elements into your images! Here you can see the Morgan Manufacturing skylight above the table!

Morgan MFG is a large venue to host a an Indian wedding reception!

The lighting looked amazing once the bride and groom entered the room!

Indian Wedding Photos at Loews Chicago Hotel – Hindu Ceremony

Smita + Tushar had their Indian wedding ceremony on the rooftop of the Chicago Loews Hotel! (Rooftop or terrace? Either way it’s amazing!) Since there are so many awesome photos from this one day, I am breaking it up into two blog posts! One of the most fun parts of a Hindu wedding is the Baraat- the grooms procession to the ceremony!

The bride is supposed to watch her groom dancing and walking up to the ceremony, and we were able to catch this moment from the 2nd floor! Indian weddings typically require at least two photographers…I was with Smita and my associate photographer, Tom, was down there capturing all the moments!

One of my favorite moments to capture in an Indian wedding is when the groom is hiding behind a drape so they can’t see each other. Photographer’s Tip: Take a calculated risk. I chose to stand behind the groom and wait for this shot of the bride walking down the aisle while also seeing the groom’s face. The aisle was long and I knew I would have enough time to come up to the front and capture additional photos of the bride and her father.

My associate photographer captured this moment where Tushar STOLE a look! =) I also love seeing Smite’s mom look down with joy-
