LondonHouse Chicago Hotel Wedding Pictures
Samantha + Jason chose one of Chicago’s finest luxury hotels for their wedding venue. The LondonHouse Chicago boasts one of the best rooftops in the city! As a wedding photographer, I am always looking at the unique architectural elements of a venue, and the LondonHouse has plenty! Not only do they have a bar and lounge area, they have a ‘cupola‘ that they reserve for their brides and grooms! In this rooftop cupola, you have the perfect view of the Wrigley Building and Michigan Ave!
If you aren’t sure what the ‘cupola’ looks like…here it is…on the LondonHouse rooftop…21 floors above Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive.

LondonHouse Rooftop Cupola Wedding Day Pictures
We started their day taking photos of them on the LondonHouse rooftop!
Samantha and her bridesmaids in the cupola! Some people asked if they were models – almost looks like an advertisement!
One request from the bride and groom: lots of photos of their nieces and nephews!

Photographer’s Tip: Step back and see the larger picture. While the staircase is beautiful, the chandelier is the perfect graphical/luxury element to balance out the photo!

We headed over to Assumption Catholic Church for their wedding ceremony! These kids are ready to party!
LaSalle Street Bridge Wedding Pictures
We made a stop at the LaSalle St bridge for a few photos – This iconic street has been used in many movies.
LaSalle St is where you can find these iconic Chicago bridges-
A photo with the Chicago river in the background.
Michigan Avenue Wedding Images
Before heading up to the rooftop, we took a few photos along Michigan Avenue, right in front of the LondonHouse!
From this spot on Michigan Ave, you can see the Wrigley Building and the John Hancock in the background!
Back up to the LondonHouse rooftop for a few more photos of the bride and groom together in the cupola!

The most touching toasts ever. One of the few times in 10 years where I’ve had to wipe away tears when taking photos at a reception.
