It’s always fun when an old friend gives you a call. As a wedding photographer it makes me smile when they share the good news…they are getting married! Youssef and I go waaaay back…and I was thrilled to hear about Lily and their upcoming wedding! They were going to be in Chicago and wanted to take engagement photos around the city! Had the opportunity to meet Kendall and Ryan while I photographing her sister’s wedding a few years ago and I was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer!

We started with a few Kinzie Bridge engagement photos. This iconic bridge has some strong geometric shapes and I love how it layers in the some Chicago architecture in the background!

Japanese Garden Engagement Photos

For their last location…Kendall and Ryan chose one of Chicago’s hidden gems…The Garden of the Phoenix! Here’s a hint…don’t necessarily follow google maps for directions. It took us a little extra effort to get here…but it was worth it!

I’ve been coming to this location periodically throughout my career…and kudos to The Garden of the Phoenix Foundation…the garden is the best it has ever looked!
