Indian Wedding at the JW Marriott! Michele & Sushil!

A couple weekends ago my assistant (Tom Yan) and I headed down to Indianpolis for Michele & Sushil’s Indian Hindu Sangeet and wedding ceremonies! The sangeet and wedding were held at the beautiful JW Marriott Indianapolis. It’s located right off the canal and they have so much space to accomodate their various Indian traditions!

Precision Sound and Lighting did a great job of creating Michele & Sushil’s dream as they brought all their furniture and ceremony fixtures from Chicago!

Here’s my favorite wedding photo from Michele & Sushil’s wedding! I don’t think I have ever photographed a bride laying on the grass…but Michele specifically asked for a photo with her laying on the ground! I was happy to oblige and I think it turned out wonderfully!

I loved their choice of venue – the new JW Marriott Indianapolis! It has a great modern look to it and stands out amongst the downtown Indianapolis buildings!

I loved the colors Michele had picked out for her Sangeet – and we made sure to take a few pictures in their JW Marriott penthouse suite before we went down!

I’m always amazed at the decor at all the Indian weddings I photograph. Precision Sound and Lighting‘s Sangeet setup.

Michele & Sushil’s friends and family put on quite a show!

But the bride and groom were not too be out done – and they showcased their dancing skills!

The next morning we were up early for their wedding day festivities! Gotta love her Jimmy Choo’s!

We headed down to take some pictures of the bride and groom

I wanted to include the JW Marriott in the background and I think the blue windows help make for a dramatic background!

The Barat was held on the side drive of the JW Marriott – and for those who don’t know…a Barat is where there is lots of music and dancing on the groom’s side of the family!

And the groom gets hoisted up at some point during the barat! I love this picture of Sushil!

I love the moment during a Hindu wedding ceremony where the cloth dividing the couple is dropped and they see each other for the first time!

Sushil is a little too tall for Michele to throw the flower necklace around his neck!

Aaannnnndddd…who sat down first?!?! It’s a picture perfect photo finish! The proof is in the photo!

Precision Sound and Lighting flipped the room from the wedding ceremony to the reception – here’s the card table with a gigantic 8ft floral arrangement!

It was my first time on and LED dance floor! It was the perfect platform for their ‘flash dance!’

And a perfect way to finish their wedding blog post…dancing on their Precision Sound and Lighting Dance floor – with their names in the background~

Congrats again you two! It was an amazing weekend! Thank you for bringing me to Indianapolis to celebrate with you guys! I think the next time their is a flash dance on at a wedding…I want to be apart of it!!!
