Chicago Music + Architecture – Jackie + Peter
Jackie is music. Peter is architecture. Following the theme for their engagement session (check out their Chicago engagement blog post) Jackie + Peter incorporated music + architecture into their wedding photography! Their wedding ceremony took place in the Grainger Ballroom at the Chicago Symphony Center (Orchestra Hall – CSO) and their wedding reception was held at the Chicago Union League Club that has a more classic Chicago architecture feel…and prior to that we took some creative portraits along the Chicago River with modern architecture!
Here is one of my favorite wedding photos at Orchestra Hall after their wedding ceremony!
Getting Ready: Union League Club of Chicago
We started their wedding coverage at the Union League Club – I opened up the double doors to Jackie’s presidential suite to photograph her wedding dress!
Using some Union League Club details for a creative wedding shoe picture!
I used Jackie’s purse to photograph their wedding rings
Jackie’s mom helping with her bracelet
The beautiful bride! I love the lace details on her dress!
I tried to be a little creative – and I love Jackie’s eyes & hair in this photo!
Love her wedding dress with a beautiful silhouette in the window
Peter was hanging out with his groomsmen- having a fun time figuring out his bowtie- Thanks to Tom for being the second photographer for this wedding!
A fun detail photo of their socks!
Father & son moment =)

Walking down the aisle with her wedding veil flowing behind her!
A wonderful illustration by their priest using duct tape =)
A family friend who happens to be an Illinois judge served as their officiant
After the ceremony we stepped out of Grainger Ballroom into Orchestra Hall for a couple quick photos!
Love this black and white wedding portrait of them in front of the elegant windows of the Symphony Center
One last getaway photo! Orchestra Hall and music is Jackie – the classic Chicago architecture is Peter! Both in one photo!
Modern Architecture Overlooking the Chicago River
We then headed to 300 N Lasalle filled with modern architecture! Peter’s father had a huge role in the design of this building- another personalized touch to their wedding photos!
The building has a balcony that over looks the Chicago River. You can see the Chicago bridges below and a reflection of the bride and groom in this picture!
The Chicago street lights glow like fireflies around the newlyweds!
Tom, my second photographer was across the river to grab this epic photo of them!
One last photo on the balcony
