I love Chicago, but I’m sorry, I will trade the cold winter days of January for the warm beaches of Cancun any day! So I was beyond excited to travel down to Cancun to be Nancy + Matt’s destination wedding photographer! The morning I left Chicago, there was icy rain hitting the roads…and when I landed, I was ready to put on my shorts and sunglasses! The Royalton Riviera Cancun has a cute little structure for wedding ceremonies – and it makes for a great spot for wedding photos! Photographer’s Tip: Be sure to notice leading lines and geometric shapes!
It’s only fitting that I choose a photo from their first dance as one of my “Photographer’s Favs” – their first date was salsa dancing! And yes, they are having their reception on the beach!

One thing I love about these two: They know how to laugh and have a good time! Those that know them know what I am talking about! And the perfectly blue-green ocean behind them is pretty amazing too!
