Richard & Dawn went to their senior prom together. When Richard proposed to her, he took her back to the ice cream shop where they had their first date. Though their life journey’s took them apart for a bit, their paths are eerily similar.
Though it was cold and snowy out…we made it out to the Art Institute of Chicago for our engagement session together. Though I have lived in Chicago my whole life…this was my first time inside. And for all you art lovers out there…the month of Feb has FREE admission!
As soon as we walked in…I knew we had to take some shots on this gorgeous staircase. And though Dawn was admittedly ‘nervous’ when we started out…I think she did a fantastic job throughout!
I love the lines in this one…
We then headed out on Michigan Ave to check out a staircase next to the Wrigley building. Mad props to these two for braving the elements and doing what it takes to get great shots…
I love these shots outdoors…the urban jungle…
I absolutely love…LOVE Dawn’s look in this next photo. I can’t even describe why I like it…I just do!
My favorite shot of the day…one of the last ones we took. We saw this scaffolding and couldn’t pass up the photo opportunity.
And it doesn’t get any more gritty than lower Wacker Drive…sulfur lights…the aroma of urine…and one cool photo.
Thanks for braving the weather guys! It was great to chat and hear about your wonderful journeys in life. I still want to see the green tux! =)
