Varuna and Ritish have maintained a long distance relationship across the Pacific Ocean. Chicago and India. And towards the end of her first trip to America, Ritish brought her to the University of Chicago Campus (U of C) for a photo session! Now Ritish is an amateur photographer himself, and I felt a huge burden to do a good job for him! I know he appreciates my creative vision and photography skills and the pressure was on! And we couldn’t call the photo session an ‘engagement session’ because they weren’t engaged yet! =)

So…I think I deserve to get the best ‘wingman’ award for the day. OR the best ‘assist’ if you will. I had to sell the photo session to Varuna w/o making his secret obvious: that in an hour, Ritish would ask for her hand…right in front of my lens! =) I played it off well, and she HAD NOT IDEA. =)

We just started walking around the University of Chicago campus taking photos. Since the photo shoot was a surprise to Varuna, I wanted to ease her into the pictures. We were able to get some amazing photos as Ritish and Varuna were both so happy to be together, that they almost seemed oblivious to the camera! Little did Varuna know…that the shoot would end at the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel where Ritish had something special in mind for his proposal! Read on to see the pictures!

I’ve known Kana for about 10 years now. She’s almost like a sister in some ways. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I found out she with someone.

After spending some time in the States, Yuki has been in Tokyo working in the business sector. So while their wedding is a long ways away, they wanted to get their eSession done when he came in town to visit.

We headed out to the University of Chicago, Hyde Park…near where President Obama’s house resides. The architecture is really unique for Chicago.





















Thanks for coming all the way from Japan for the eSession Yuki! =) It was great meeting you and hearing how the two of you came together! I’ll be praying for you both as you prepare to livin
