Some people remember weddings based on the venue. Some….the vows. This will forever be remembered as the wedding where the parents line danced for 40+ minutes.

To start off their wedding photos, I want to share my favorite photo from the day- I love the shapes, composition and color palette of this photo.

If you know Elyse, you know she loves to laugh and smile…I think this photo captures that side of her well-

Since the The Glen Club is in ‘The Glen’ we took advantage of a couple of the scenic areas-

The Village Presbyterian has some nice details…the stained glasswork is one feature I like-

This very well may be Dave’s favorite photo from the day…the one where they are driving away in his BMW M3

Once we got to the Glen Club, the sun began to set…and we HAD to grab some photos with the gorgeous ‘yummy’ light-

I love Rolf’s Patisserie – not only do they make great looking wedding cakes…they taste good too!

Ahh yes….the infamous line dancing! Proof that it really did happen! I anticipate enrollment to this group to increase once people realize just how much fun line dancing can be! =)

One thing I keep in mind when taking photos of families, is the personalities of the kids- I love the interaction they have with their parents and with each other. Kids grow up so fast and their faces, smiles and ‘looks’ change all the time! These more casual family photo sessions are a great way to ‘stop time’ and remember your kids at this moment in their lives-

There were two cousins that joined in for a couple photos!

This was my favorite photo from the portrait session. It makes me smile every time I look at it!

She loved her umbrella – I loved how Julie selected great outfits and accessories for the kids-

I think these guys are looking for a future career in modeling! And I loved the red ties!

He was trying to out run my camera! =)

Their wedding was held The Grove in Glenview, IL. It is a National Historic Landmark that takes you back to the 1850s.

The wedding dress-

I love the colors in her shoes- and you gotta love the antique doorknob-

The bridesmaids showcased dresses from Anthropologie-

Rich and the groomsmen sported the Chucks- They told me I could wear mine too- =) The first time my All Stars made it to a wedding-

In keeping with the 1850s feel of the place, I decided to process some of their images with a more ‘vintage’ feel to them-

More buttons held together by wire- and yea, the rings are there too-

She loved her animals- I love way she is looking and hugging her animals not to mention the hue palatte and patterns in this photo-

After the The Grove, we headed down to Chicago for some urban – industrial photos!

You’ve gotta love the West Loop – River West area for the urban feel
