We grew up at the same church, went to the same high school and college, and served together on numerous occasions. I’m so thankful to have a friend like Makoto, someone who you can be yourself around, knowing that you are going to be there for each other when the need arises. And though I’ve known Makoto for such a long time, I can honestly say, I have never seen him smile as much as he does when Grace is around. She brings out a side of him I rarely see.

I loved all the details of their wedding. Starting with the Independence Grove in Libertyville, IL to the colors of the dresses and suits, Grace really knew what it takes to put together a beautiful day.

The first time I met Sajan was at their engagement session earlier this year. And though it was a brisk Chicago winter day, he managed to warm things up with his humor and smooth lines- =) Here are a couple images, you can see the rest of them here.

I started the day at Jaicy’s parent’s place, and my second shooter, Nate Mathai started at Sajan’s hotel-
















Yea, um…don’t ask me…but it sure looks like he is trying his Jedi mind tricks on me- maybe that’s how get got Jaicy!





















And of course there was an awesome dance routine- I almost got trampled on at one point! =)









Congrats again! I pray that you continue to shine brightly as you live faithfully in your marriage-

I love hiking and exploring nature (though I don’t get to do it that often) with some of my favorite trips occurring at Turkey Run and the Smokey Mountains. So I was excited to hear that Joe and Amy also like hiking and taking walks through forest preserves.

And though there was a foot of snow on the ground, we shot for over an hour in the cold and had a great time- =)

This was one of the first ones we took, but it is one of my favorites-




Having a great time in a quiet forest.

This was by far to highlight of my day…walking on a frozen river! **I do not advocate this by any means…*** We made sure it was really solid before embarking on the ice-

I title this one: “Eyes upon us”


Don’t you remember doing this? Sliding on ice? Good times!

And it was crazy how these two climbed up a tree and were chillin 12 feet in the air! I love it!

Don’t try this at home! It’s cause Joe has some mad strength!

Thanks you guys for a great time! Thanks for sitting on snow, climbing trees, hiking up hills, skating on ice, and all the other activities you did during the shoot! It was a blast! Can’t wait for the wedding!
