A couple years ago, I was the photographer for Carolyn & Chris’ engagement and wedding photos! We’ve had so many fun photoshoots together! Most recently…they flew me out to Stuttgart, Germany for a maternity photo shoot! The baby is due later this month, so we had a great time working with ‘the bump’! =)

Since they are only in Germany for a little time more, we wanted the photos to reflect ‘Germany’ as this was where their marriage started and where their first child will be born.

We headed out to a local ‘castle’ where royalty used to live. I love the architecture and color in this photo….but I LOVE the shadow of the bump on the wall! Make sure you check it out!

In Illinois, everything is flat…but in Germany…there are a lot of hills- a cool silhouette photo showcasing her maternity phase- =)

America is relatively young. Europe and Germany have lots of cobblestones- something you definitely realize when you are pregnant….so I’ve been told. =)

I had my second maternity photoshoot last month. Princess and her husband were so comfortable in front of the camera! I almost wonder if they have had previous modeling experience- They kept moving into beautiful poses and required minimal instruction from me.

Kenny Nakai

Jason and Latoi are a couple that hold a special place within Nakai Photography. They were the first wedding. We had a great time together and captured some amazing images. You can view their wedding here.

However, very soon, these two are expecting their first child! I was thrilled when I heard the news and even more excited when they asked me to take some photos of their soon-to-be-new-addition to the family. =)

Since their wedding, Jason has really taken to photography, and had all these great ideas for poses throughout the shoot.

I think Jason got a little ‘jealous’ of with Latoi getting all the attention…so we were sure to grab one of the proud-soon-to-be-papa. =)

I remembered Jason’s tatoo’s from our engagement shoot together, and really wanted to incorporate them into a photo. Coupled with her belly ring, this photo is distinctly Jason & Latoi w/o even having their faces.

Jason’s frat brother had an awesome condo for us to use for our photoshoot. Great lighting on the 22nd floor.

It was really great catching up with you both! I wish you the best and will be praying for a safe and healthy baby/delivery. Take care of her Jason!
