It’s amazing how people hear about Nakai Photography these days. Jennie was referred to me by her friends and also her co-workers! I had photographed David & Stephanie’s engagement session last fall…and Stephanie had heard about me from Roseanne and Josh whose wedding pictures I captured…and I will also be photographing another co-worker’s wedding this upcoming October! I tell you…everyone knows everyone! It’s great to hear how past clients and future clients are willing to spread the word about my wedding pictures! I am such a small production…you only hear about me via word of mouth!
Engagement Pictures in Nature!
We started their engagement session in a forest preserve for photos in Nature! I love the trees and the sunlight peering through onto the newly engaged!
I love their smiles! Jennie was SOOOOO nervous before the engagement session and it was helpful to start with these great pictures. They helped to put her mind at ease!
Apparently they love Scrabble- Auggie had made these large scrabble letter tiles to incorporate into his proposal! We had to include them in the engagement pictures somehow!
Who is worth more?

We then transitioned to the Chicago Botanic Gardens – where the rose garden was in full bloom!

Jennie + Auggie are big readers and they frequent various libraries- so we stopped by the Deering Library on the Northwestern Campus for a few photos! I love this night shot outside of the Deering library!
The J & A Scrabble tiles made another appearance!
I love the interior architecture of the Deering library – so we had to take a few pictures inside the lobby area!
Love the corridor – Northwestern has all these great buildings that make for great engagement pictures!
