Rey & Aileen’s eSession

At the first meeting I had with Rey & Aileen, they shared a video with me. It was at Millennium Park, where Rey knelt on one knee and asked Aileen for her hand in marriage. I love real moments, and that was as real as it gets. Aileen was stunned, speechless and her tears spoke volumes. Needless to say, I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding.

We headed out to Soldier Field, the home of the Chicago Bears. Rey is a big fan and wanted to incorporate his ‘second’ love into his engagement photos. =) We were really fortunate to find the gates to the upper walkway to be unlocked! I guess there was an event there earlier and so we could walk around in an area that is normally off limits- It was pretty awesome-

If you are not from Chicago, Soldier Field was built in the 1920′s and was originally built as a memorial to soldiers who have died in war. It received a renovation in 2003 and now there is a mixture of old and new throughout the stadium.

This photo cracks me up- I did not tell them to do this, they totally caught me off guard! Gotta love the energy!

Love the pose!

These next two pictures amaze me. I can’t believe how high Rey jumped! He almost jumped out of my frame-

Rey had this idea and so we had a little fun with it- I love Aileen’s expression!

Thanks guys for an awesome time! That’s the closest as I’ve ever been to the actual playing field for the Bears! Can’t wait until the wedding!

with love,

Kenny
