Allen & Helen’s Wedding!

A couple weeks ago, I was able to spend a couple days with Allen & Helen for their rehearsal dinner, tea ceremony, and wedding! They were so awesome to work with…and by the end of the day, I felt like I had known them for years.

There were sooooo many little details that made the whole day special.

Nothing says comfort like flip flops for the bridal party!

While all the ladies were upstairs, the guys found themselves locked out!

Adapted from Chinese tradition, the men had to play a series of games to gain entrance.   Some of these questions were pretty difficult…but they got them all correct-

Some questions were so difficult, Helen needed to be consulted to verify the answers…

The Best Man volunteered to be first for the next game…but due to a verbal promise to some people…I will refrain from posting the rest of those pics. (though I suppose I may throw them up at a later time?) =D

For those that were not present…the game had to do with the guys and seaweed. (if you’ve seen the game played before, you know what happens)

Helen having fun with the video camera-

This was my first Chinese tea ceremony! I love learning about different cultures through wedding photography. It was a  wonderful experience of family and tradition…

And Helen got jewelery. Lots of jewelery.

One last shot before a gown change…

A little help from the bridesmaids…

One last check for herself…

The ladies were having a good time together…

Would you trust Helen with a pin?

It was a pretty relaxing morning because Helen scheduled a good amount of time for photos.  We were able to chill and have some fun in the courtyard-

Helen brought out a bag with these awesome umbrellas. What a great idea! This was my favorite shot of the day.

The happy bride…

errr…the happy bride… =)

At the church before the ceremony…

A little overcome at seeing the beautiful bride before the ceremony…

The flower girl…

The guys are just chillin…

The moment Allen sees her walking down the aisle…

Owned!

A well choreographed first dance…

I put together a slideshow presentation from their morning’s activities. It was a good opportunity for the guests to view the tea ceremony…as well as all the fun and games…

Everyone was having a good time on the dance floor…I personally loved the song selection on one set that included some Erasure and Anything Box.

Thanks for a great time guys!  I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon!
