M&A Wedding in Lake Villa

A couple weekends ago, Mike, my friend and fellow wedding photog, commissioned me to be ‘his’ wedding photog at his daughter’s wedding. Mike is responsible for providing me with the opportunity to build my wedding portfolio. I am so grateful for his generosity, that I could not think of a better way to ‘repay’ him than to help capture ‘his’ special day. =) The B&G had already hired Abby and Todd Veldman as the main photographers, so I tried to stay out of their way throughout the day.

The day started at 7am. Gotta get the hair styled.

They had their wedding/reception at this GORGEOUS location, the Lehmann Mansion in Lake Villa. If you live in the Northwest suburbs and are having a wedding, you should check this place out. My type of place.

Cuff links…yes…they can be challenging.

Mike was able to spend some time w/his daughter alone before walking her down the aisle. I don’t know how they made it through the time without a box of tissues.
